KHand made, In Utsjoki
I have created a unique jewelry style by being the first in Finland to print my photographs on wood and combine them with silver leafs. My jewelry collection has since expanded to include silver pieces, after I trained as a gemstone and precious metal artisan, or more simply, as a silversmith.
Sustainability is an important part of my jewelry world. For me, this means not only respecting nature but also being transparent about my methods and the materials I use.
The silver I use is recycled, the boxes are made of eco-friendly cardboard, and the wooden parts are certified Finnish birch. Other metal components are sourced from Korutarvike, where they are tested for allergens.
For my photo jewelry, the images are printed directly onto wood using eco-friendly, water-based ink, and the surface is finished with a water-based coating that repels moisture and dirt.
